The ESET Online Scanner is an on-demand scanner. It is implemented as an ActiveX control, so it is best run on Internet Explorer 5.0 or later.
Running the ESET Online Scanner on other browsers, such as Firefox, Opera, Netscape, requires installation of ESET Smart Installer, an application that installs and launches ESET Online Scanner in a new browser window.
This application is able to find both known and unknown viruses, worms, Trojans, spyware, phishing, and other Internet threats.
